Summer Sounds
Music is happening this summer and the WOWsters are hard at work planning some incredible evenings on the refurbished Park Square... for all the info... check back for updates and to see what you missed last summer... read on McDuff!
Dear Mom and Dad:
It’s raining here at Camp Wishyouwerehere and boy, do I wish I was there. It’s nice to swim and learn macramé, but I miss Westfield.
Could you pick me and my friend Justin up for the Summer Sounds on Thursday nights in August? I know that grass on the green has gotta grow so the concerts will be like last year at Church Street Commons in front of the Bistro. Really cool and they have popcorn. They start at 7:30 and are FREE! I will carry the lawnchairs.
Justin says this year is best ever. August 9 is The Hot Tamale Band from Fenway Park. Awesome! August 16 is Hair of the Dog. Justin says they play Irish rock music and you can have a beer like you always do at Sons of Erin. August 25, Eight to the Bar is playing boogie woogie whatever that is and blues and swing. If you do that funny dance of yours I won’t laugh.
Camp is only 2 hours away and we’d only miss 1 campfire. I hate those corny songs, anyway! You could drive us back each Friday morning for rocks and stars class.
Please let me come home and bring Justin…. I will be good and won’t complain ever again when mom takes me to the Farmers Market and spends an hour choosing the best tomato. Besides Justin says this year the market is on the church lawn across from the library, so I could find a book while she shops. Okay!
Time for crafts. Yuck!
Love, Wesley
PS. I fell off the roof of our cabin yesterday.
