“WREATHS FOR PEACE” WORKSHOP on MARCH 22
Miller and her daughter, Ayisha Kilishi Miller will present a “Wreaths for Peace” workshop on Saturday, March 22 from 1pm to 3pm, during which participants will create colorful wreaths, using pieces of fabric that her mother, Edjohnetta Miller, has collected from countries throughout the world.
Ayisha is a 2022 New Voices Fellow for the Greater Hartford Arts Council. She is an arts administrator, and Vice President of Joisha Design Group and her art has been featured at galleries in Connecticut and Ohio and on Cape Cod in the 2017 book, Still They Persist.
She has also taught mixed media art at the Wadsworth Museum of Art, Hartford Public High School, the Girl Scouts of America, Jumoke Academy, Eco Space Gallery and libraries throughout New England.
